Simply said: we work on aircraft engines in our workshop, known as the Engine shop. We carry out both repairs and maintenance on the engines in a team of 4.


The Engine shop

In the Engine shop, where our team of four works on aircraft engines, we specialize not only in repairs and maintenance but also in conducting boroscope inspections. This is a highly specialized operation in which our team and organization outperform. We are one of the only ones in the Netherlands using this technique!

While maintaining a friendly atmosphere within the team, the Engine Shop always emphasizes precision and concentration during work. We like to invest in our people. You will undergo internal training right away so that you can do as much as possible in a short period. Additionally, you will also go to the United States for a 2-week course (where the engines are manufactured).


What will you do?

As an Engine shop Mechanic, you will initially work in the engine shop. We perform maintenance on the engines, including tasks like QEC (Quick Engine Change kit), cleaning and recoating of fan blades, as well as coating and polishing of pins.

In the role of Engine shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for: 

  • Reconfiguring, modifying, and repairing aircraft engines and engine components; 
  • Working on various types of aircraft engines such as CFM56-7B, CF34-8/-10, PW1900, and APS2300/2600 APU. 
  • Preparing engines and auxiliary power units (APUs) for shipment; 
  • Assessing internal damage, repairing/fixing damage, and making modifications on the aircraft and in the shops; 
  • Supporting Aircraft Maintenance in the hangar and in other shops when required, as a Mechanic.

Job requirements

When you start as an Engine shop Mechanic at RJC, we ask for a few things: 

  • Completed education in aircraft or automotive technology at MBO level 3 or 4;
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written; 
  • Some experience in an Engine Shop or with aircraft engines is preferred, but we are also happy to provide internal training.
