Job description

Welcome to Regional Jet Center
At Regional Jet Center, everything revolves around precision and craftsmanship. Our operation is supported by several specialized workshops, including the Paint Shop and the Interior Shop. In this combined role, you’ll help restore and refine aircraft interiors
and paint aircraft parts and structures. When there’s less work in the shops, you’ll also be deployed on the hangar floor to work directly on the aircraft.

What will you do?

As an Interior Shop Mechanic & Painter, you have a versatile role with two clear core tasks:

Interior Shop Mechanic tasks

  • Inspect, repair, and modify interior components (cabin panels, galley parts, seats, cargo nets, composite parts).

  • Install and remove cockpit and cabin components according to technical documentation.

  • Assist with aircraft maintenance under the supervision of an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (GWK).

  • Order required parts and complete administrative tasks to document work performed.

Painter tasks

  • Prepare and carry out painting assignments on aircraft and components (filling, sanding, spraying, brushing, and rolling).

  • Remove rust and old paint layers by sanding or using paint strippers.

  • Check coating thickness, viscosity, and drying times.

  • Ensure accurate color matching and correct use of spray equipment.

You’ll alternate between the Interior Shop, the Paint Shop, and the hangar floor. This includes day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Job requirements

We’re looking for an all-round professional who recognizes themselves in both disciplines.

  • At least an MBO (vocational) qualification in painting technology or (aircraft) engineering, or equivalent.

  • Experience as an (interior) mechanic and/or painter.

  • Knowledge of paints and application methods, including experience with spray equipment.

  • Skill and precision in repair and assembly work.

  • Good command of both Dutch and English (spoken and written).

  • Driving licence and your own transport.

Note: you don’t need to have all of the above knowledge and experience. We’re not looking for a perfect candidate, but for talented and resourceful professionals.

What can you expect from us?

Alongside a challenging role within Europe’s largest MRO for Embraer aircraft, we offer:

  • A base monthly salary of €3,454 – €4,422.

  • A shift allowance of approx. €650 gross per month.

  • A year-end bonus, annual profit-sharing, holiday allowance, and travel expense reimbursement up to 75 km.

  • An IPB travel scheme: fly at reduced rates on standby when seats are available—also for your family members.

  • Training and development opportunities.

  • A solid pension plan.

  • A personal budget for wellbeing, career, and personal development.

  • 27 Holiday days and 13 ADV days (additional leave).
